Translation & Interpretation Requests

Overview
In accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the City of Roanoke will provide translation and interpretation services to those with limited English proficiency. Individuals with limited English proficiency are those who do not speak English as their primary language and have a limited ability to read, write, speak, or understand English as a result of their national origin.

Requests for Translation and/or Interpretation Assistance:
In an effort to provide the best service possible to all customers, the City provides translation services in the Spanish language through employees that have demonstrated sufficient language fluency. To request assistance with translation or interpretation services in the Spanish language or any other language, individuals may contact:

The City’s website uses an embedded Google Translate application, enabling the entire site to be translated into any language supported by that platform.

Written documents will be translated into a requested language using Google Translate.
