About Alert Roanoke

Alert Roanoke is powered by ReGroup and serves as a vital communication tool for sharing essential community safety information. It delivers alerts for situations such as water service emergencies, missing children or seniors, and any hazardous conditions affecting residents' safety, property, or welfare.

This service enables City officials to quickly send emergency notifications via phone, text, email, and other methods. Along with critical emergency alerts, users can opt-in to receive non-emergency notifications about community events, activities, and other significant updates. Those who subscribe to non-emergency messages can choose their preferred methods of communication, including phone, email, and/or text.

Unless specified otherwise, notifications will be issued as information becomes available, rather than on a fixed schedule (e.g., every Friday). Most notifications are sent in real-time.
