Message from Mayor GierischThis Christmas was wonderful for my family as we spent the holiday celebrating each other and our many blessings. I had the honor of enjoying a gathering with our City staff. During the event I awarded many members of the team with recognition and certificates of achievement. Employee Spotlight: Andrew DavisEach month we wish to introduce you to one of our awesome staff members. This month, our spotlight is on Andrew Davis, Information Technology Systems Analyst. Andrew has worked with the City of Roanoke for just under 8 months. When asked what he enjoys most about his job, Andrew responded, "I really enjoy getting around the City and seeing what the IT department can do to help improve efficiency with other departments' work." Outside of work, Andrew enjoys spending time with his wife and daughters and, when he has time, playing a round of golf. A fun fact about Andrew: He served in the United States Air Force for over 10 years. Please be sure to stop Andrew next time you see him and thank him for all of his hard work.
